Douglas used to be afraid to stay home by himself, but now he’s not! He realized that he’s never alone, God is always with him. And that’s cool because it helps him to be brave, but it also made him realize that he needs to be more careful about his actions. We’re often most tempted to sin when we think that we can get away with it if we think that no one will find out. But we can never “get away” with sin because God always knows when we sin. So knowing that God is always with us can help us to not only be brave but also make wise choices. Satan wants us to feel like we’re all alone, both because he wants us to feel lonely, and to feel like no one cares about us, but also because he wants us to feel like we can sin without anyone finding out about it. Let’s all remember that we’re never alone because God is always with us!

“Never Alone” Bible Verses:

  • Deuteronomy 31:8 | God Will Never Leave Nor Forsake Us
  • Joshua 1:9 | “Be strong and courageous…”
  • Romans 8:38-39 | Nothing Can Separate Us From The Love of God
  • Proverbs 15:3  | God Sees Everything
  • Psalm 139:2 | God Knows What’s In Your Heart

“Never Alone” Family Time Questions:

• Have you ever done something bad that no one ever found out about? (You don’t have to give specific examples)

• Is it actually possible to do something that no one ever finds out about?

• Is there anywhere you can go where God won’t see you?

• Why does Satan want you to feel like you’re all alone?

Prayer:

Dear God, thank you for always being there for me. Please help me to remember that you are always with me wherever I go. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
