Thank you so much for your interest in supporting Douglas Talks! It’s only through the grace of God and the kindness of generous people like you that I get to use the gifts God has given me to teach the truth of God’s Word to kids all around the world.

There are several ways that you can help:

Prayer

This is a big job, and there’s no way that I can do it without God’s help. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I know that we can face any challenge that comes our way with a powerful prayer team that has our back. Here are some specific prayer requests:

  • Inspiration – Please pray that I can keep the content coming! We used to do a few videos a year, but now we’re making a new video every week. So far, we have more than 450 full episodes of Douglas Talks. I want to be able to make more and more content without having to sacrifice quality.
  • Guidance – I study hard, but I know I’m fallible. Please pray that my content would be God-honoring and theologically sound.
  • Protection – Any time someone tries to do something that honors God, Satan wants to stop it. I want to honor God with this ministry, so I expect opposition. Please pray for protection and that God would thwart any of Satan’s schemes.
  • Providence – Please pray that the right kids would see the right videos at the right time.

Financial Support

The best way to financially support Douglas Talks is by making a Recurring Monthly Gift. We decided years ago to make all of our episodes free to download from our website for those who can’t afford them, and that means we rely heavily on financial support. Automatic monthly support really helps us to budget our expenses in a more predictable way. Even a very small amount can make a huge difference! Your support means so much to us, and I can’t thank you enough for your generosity. Click here to give a Recurring Monthly Gift.

If you would like to financially support Douglas Talks but would prefer to give a one-time gift as opposed to a monthly gift, you absolutely can! Just click here to learn how. I’ve been asked a few times if people could give a one-time gift to Douglas Talks, so I wanted to make sure there was an easy way to do that. Click here to give a One Time Gift.

If you would like to financially support Douglas Talks without any middlemen or having to sign up for anything online, we have a PO Box where you can send checks:

Patreon is a website that helps fans support their favorite content creators by pledging a monthly amount and receiving rewards based on their level of support. Douglas’ Patreon page is tied specifically to his YouTube Channel, so most of the rewards have to do with YouTube specifically. So if you’d like to support the ministry of Douglas Talks and get a little something in return (like a personalized thank you video from Douglas, your name in the credits of full-length episodes on YouTube, early access to videos, etc.) check out Patreon.com/DouglasTalks to see what rewards are right for you!

“Are my donations tax-deductible?”

Douglas Talks is a ministry, but we are not a registered 501(c)(3), which means that donations are, unfortunately, not tax-deductible. We recognize that supporting our ministry without being able to write those donations off on your taxes is an even bigger sacrifice than if you were donating to a non-profit, and we are so very grateful for your kindness. I’m often asked if we plan to incorporate as a non-profit, and we have looked into it very carefully, but we found that it isn’t a good fit for our situation. There are many reasons for this, but one of the more significant reasons is that if the payroll of a non-profit exceeds 70%, it can raise some red flags with the IRS. And since our ministry is digital, our business expenses are very low; almost all of the income from Douglas Talks (90% or more) goes directly to support the Graves family so that I can work on making videos full-time. If Douglas Talks ever grows to the point where we need a larger team and/or have more business expenses, it may make sense to file for 501(c)(3) status. But, as it is, it would not work very well. Again, thank you so much for your kindness and support.
