The Bible is great at building us up into the very best version of ourselves. But reading your Bible is hard! There are so many things in our life that are difficult but worth it. It’s easy to do what’s comfortable or meaningless, it’s hard to do what’s important, and there are few things more important than reading your Bible. It’s not always going to be easy or fun, but it will always be worth it! The whole Bible is useful for training in righteousness.

“Training In Righteousness” Bible Verses:

  • Jude 1:20-21 | The Bible builds us up.
  • Isaiah 1:17 | Know what’s right and do it.
  • 2 Corinthians 4:4 | Satan tries to distract us from the Bible.
  • Galatians 5:17 | The flesh wants to do what’s easy.
  • Proverbs 21:3 | Do what’s right.
  • 2 Timothy 1:7 | God gives us strength to do the right thing.

“Training In Righteousness” Family Time Questions:

• Do you find it really easy to read your Bible?

• Why do you think it can be so hard sometimes?

• Is reading your Bible worth it?

• How does the Bible help us to be the best version of ourselves?

Prayer:

Dear God, thank you for giving us the Bible. Please help me to read it and always be growing in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
