We serve an Unseen God. He’s always with us, but we can’t see him. That means that following God requires faith, a strong belief in what we can’t see. And having faith might seem very difficult, but there are all kinds of things that we can’t see, but we know is there. For example, you can’t see air, but you can feel it in your lungs and see it blowing leaves on the ground. In the same way, you can’t see God, but you can feel Him with your heart and see Him working in your life. Let’s put our faith in the Unseen God!

Bible Verses About the Unseen God:

  • Hebrews 11:1 | Faith gives assurance about what we can’t see.
  • Colossians 1:15-16 | Our unseen God created everything.
  • 1 Timothy 1:17 | Our unseen God is eternal.
  • John 20:21 | Blessed are those who believe without seeing.

Family Time Questions About the Unseen God:

• What’s something (other than air or God) that you can’t see but you know is there?

• What are some ways that we can know God is with us?

• Can you give an example of a time when you knew God was with you?

• How can we help others to know that God is always there?

Prayer:

Dear God, thank you for always being there. Please help me to better see you at work in my life, and please help me to help others see you as well. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
