After Jesus rose again from the dead he visited with His disciples for a time and then ascended into heaven. He said that He was going to prepare a place for us and would one day return to get us so that we could be where He is. The Bible says that when Jesus comes to get us we will be caught up in the air with Him (the Greek word for “caught up” is “rapturo” when translated into Latin. Which is where we get the word, “rapture.”), receive our new, perfected bodies, and live forever with Jesus in Heaven. The Rapture will happen in an instant (no one knows exactly when it will happen) and we sure don’t want to be left behind!
