Douglas talks about his very favorite Christmas decoration. Join Douglas in this children’s ministry video about the nativity for kids!

Douglas loves to go to his grandparents’ house around Christmastime. They have all sorts of fun decorations, but Douglas’ very favorite decoration is the nativity. A nativity set usually has baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, three wise men, and sometimes an angel and some animals, too.

When it was time for Mary to give birth to Jesus, there was no room anywhere for them to stay, so they had to stay in a stable. When Jesus was born, there were shepherds taking care of their sheep nearby, and suddenly they saw a whole bunch of angels all around them, singing, “Glory to God in the highest!” The angels told the shepherds how to find where Jesus was born, and after the shepherds found Him, they praised God and told everyone about it. Some time later, some wise men from the East came and gave Jesus gifts meant for a king.

On Christmas, we celebrate the gift God sent us, the gift of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior!
