Responsibility means taking care of what God has given you. And taking care of what God has given us is a great way to say “thank you” for our many blessings! Even kids have a lot of responsibilities, but have you ever noticed that most of our responsibilities come from blessings? People often want God to bless them, but few realize what that really means. With great blessing comes great responsibility.

Bible Verses About Responsibility:

  • Luke 16:10 | If you can be trusted with a little you can be trusted with a lot
  • Matthew 25:23 | If you are responsible with a little, you may get a lot
  • Psalm 118:24 | Be grateful for what you have

Family Time Questions About Responsibility:

• Why is it so hard to be responsible with what we’ve been given?

• What is a good way to help ourselves to be responsible?

• What are some blessings in your life that come with responsibility?

Prayer:

Dear God, thank you for all the many ways that you have blessed me. Help me to be responsible with those blessings. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
