Putting Others first is a great way to show them how much they mean to us, and to God! It can be very easy to only care about ourselves and what we want or what we need. But when we look to the needs of others, instead of just our own, some pretty remarkable things can happen!

Bible Verses About Putting Others First:

  • Leviticus 19:18 | Love your neighbor as yourself.
  • Matthew 19:19 | Jesus quotes Leviticus about loving neighbors.
  • Philippians 2:3-4 | Look out for the good of others.
  • Galatians 6:10 | Let’s do good for everyone when we can.

Family Time Questions About Putting Others First:

• Why is it so hard to put others first?

• What would happen if everyone put the needs of others ahead of their own?

• Can you share an example of a time someone put your needs ahead of their own?

Prayer:

Dear God, thank you so much for all you have done for me. Help me to show your love to other people by putting them first. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
