Decluttering your life might be a good idea, but true peace can only come from God. So many of us have very busy schedules. Church, school, sports, music, family, friends, and more! They all take up time in our lives and can sometimes lead to a lot of stress. It’s hard for us to find peace with all that stuff going on. It might be a good idea to declutter our lives a little bit. But even if you declutter your life or keep a perfect schedule, you still won’t find true peace. The Bible says that peace is a Fruit of The Spirit, which means that if you have the Holy Spirit living inside of you, and you live by The Spirit, then you will have peace. So if we want to have more peace in our lives, it might not mean that we need more control, but that we need more God. Spend time with God, learn more about Him, and live according to the way He leads you. Only then can you find true peace.

“Peace” Bible Verses:

  • Galatians 5:22-23 | The Fruit of the Spirit
  • 1 Peter 3:11 | “…seek peace…”
  • 1 Peter 5:7 | Give your Stress to God
  • Philippians 4:6-7 | Be anxious for nothing
  • Colossians 3:15 | “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts”

“Peace” Family Time Questions:

• Do you ever feel stressed or overwhelmed?

• What causes you the most stress in your life?

• What’s the best way to find peace?

• Are there other things besides spending time with God that can also help a little? If so, what are they?

Prayer:

Dear God, thank you for your perfect peace. Please help me to keep my eyes on you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
