God sent Moses to free His people, the Israelites, from their slavery in Egypt. But even though they saw what God did for them firsthand, miracle after miracle, the Israelites were still worried and scared when Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, changed his mind and sent his armies after them. They thought, “Why did God bring us out here to die?!” But that was obviously not God’s plan. Instead, He performed yet another miracle when He had Moses lift his staff, and God opened a dry path through the middle of the Red Sea for the Israelites to cross. And when the Egyptians tried to follow them, God made the sea swallow them up. God’s plan for us is not always going to go the way that we plan. But His plan is always good. Remember what the Lord has done for His people. He always makes a way. There’s so much to learn from the story of Moses crossing the Red Sea.
