When the Israelites were about to enter the promised land, they sent twelve spies to see what it was like. They wanted to know if the land was good and if the people who lived there were strong. The land was VERY good and the people there were VERY strong. Ten of the twelve spies were afraid of the people in the promised land and led the Israelites to be afraid too. Caleb and Joshua were the only spies who knew that it wasn’t by their own strength that God would give them the promised land, and they were the only ones who trusted that God would do what He said he would do. Even after seeing miracle after miracle, the Israelites still grumbled and doubted God. When we are faced with challenges in our lives that seem too big for us, we need to remember that nothing is too big for our God. There is so much that we can learn from the story of Moses and the twelve spies.
