God’s people were slaves in Egypt, but God had a plan to rescue them. God sent Moses to tell Pharaoh (the king of Egypt) to let God’s people go, but Pharaoh refused. Even after seeing miracles, even after God sent plague after plague, Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he only truly agreed to let God’s people go after the tenth and final plague, when every firstborn in Egypt was killed. God didn’t simply rescue the Israelites; He showed that it could only have been Him who saved them. God never forgets or abandons His people, and if you believe in Jesus Christ, that includes you too. Never forget what God did for His people in Egypt.
