When Moses was a grown man, he had to flee from Egypt to a land called Midian, where he started a new life as a shepherd. But God’s people were still slaves in Egypt, and God had not forgotten them. One day, when Moses was watching the sheep, he came to a mountain called Horeb, which was known as the mountain of God (It was also called Mount Sinai, and it’s the same mountain where Moses will later receive the Ten Commandments). There, Moses saw a bush that was on fire but wasn’t burning up. When Moses went to investigate, God spoke to him through the bush. God told Moses that He would use Moses to free His people from Egypt. Moses thought there must have been a mistake because he felt like he was not good at speaking. But God made Moses’ mouth, and He would be with him and make him succeed. God knows us better than we know ourselves. If God calls you to do something, He will give you all you need to make it happen!
