One of the reasons why we can trust the Bible is that it just works! If you live your life God’s way, you will have the best life ever! It doesn’t mean that you won’t have any pain or struggles, but it does mean that you will be equipped to handle anything that life throws at you. No other religion or worldview can promise (and deliver!) the peace, love, joy, and fulfillment that come from a life lived in obedience to Jesus Christ.

Other worldviews and religions can get some things right (many worldviews say that we shouldn’t steal or murder for example), but Christianity is the only one that gets everything right. And even if your worldview only gets a couple of things wrong, it can have a hugely negative impact on your life and the lives of those around you. A life without God is empty and full of unnecessary pain and strife. When you live according to the Spirit, you will have love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. If you learn what God says in the Bible and submit yourself to His way of doing things, you will not be disappointed.

Bible Verses:

  • Matthew 6:33 | When you seek God first, good things will follow.
  • Isaiah 44:9 | The gods of other religions can’t help you.
  • John 16:33 | Through Christ, we can have peace, even in trying times.
  • Jeremiah 17:7 | He who trusts in the Lord is blessed!
  • Galatians 5:22-23 | The fruit of the Spirit

Family Time Questions:

Will everything be easy if you live God’s way?

• What happens when you live according to what the Bible teaches?

• How would living God’s way prove that we can trust the Bible?

Prayer:

Dear God, thank you for giving us the Bible. Help me to better learn and understand what you say in Scripture, and please help me to better live my life your way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
