Some of the best things in life grow little by little, which means that we need to have patience and perseverance. Some problems seem much too big for us to handle. But many of those problems can be overcome if we take things one step at a time. It can be very difficult to take things one step at a time. Nobody likes to wait for the things that we want. We like to have things RIGHT NOW, but if we are patient and put in the time and effort required to grow, we can achieve some pretty great things! It can be hard to wait, but Jesus would love to help you have patience and perseverance as you learn and grow every day!

“Little by Little” Bible Verses:

  • Matthew 13:31-32 | Jesus’ story about the mustard seed growing.
  • Proverbs 13:11 | Gather money little by little for growth.
  • 2 Timothy 2:15 | Be diligent to please God.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:58 | Go all in for God’s work.
  • Galatians 6:9 | Don’t give up!

“Little by Little” Family Time Questions:

• What are some examples of good things that grow slowly?

• What does perseverance mean?

• Why is it so hard to wait for good things?

• What are some things that can help you to be patient?

Prayer:

Dear God, thank you for your goodness to us. Please help me to have patience and perseverance as I grow little by little. In Jesus’ name, amen.
