Some people say that Atheists and Christians are pretty much the same because Christians believe there’s only one God (even though there are thousands of false gods) and Atheists don’t believe there is any God at all (meaning, out of thousands of gods, they just believe in one less God than Christians do). On the surface, this might seem like a reasonable argument for Atheism, but not once you start to think about it. If a million people pretended to be the real you, that wouldn’t make you any less real. And it’s the same with God. Just because there are thousands of fakes, that doesn’t make the One True God any less real!

Bible Verses:

  • 1 John 4:1 | There are many false gods.
  • Jeremiah 10:10 | There is one true God.
  • Matthew 7:7 | Look for God and you will find Him!
  • Revelation 19:16 | Jesus is Lord.

Family Time Questions:

• How many real Gods are there?

• How many false gods do you think there could be?

• Does it matter how many false gods there are? Does it change anything about the One True God?

• Who is the One True God?

Prayer:

Dear God, thank you for being the One True God. Please help me to follow you with all my heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
