We all have an emptiness inside of us. So many of us are living in a cycle of hope and disappointment. Constantly thinking, “If I just had THAT, then I would finally be happy” but it never works, so we move on to the next thing. God wants so much more for us than that. We try to fill that empty space in our hearts with so many different things, but the only thing that can ever satisfy us (which isn’t a thing at all!) is just Jesus. Only He can make us complete. Jesus Christ is the One we are all looking for, and He’s available to every one of us.
Bible Verses About Our Need for Jesus:
- Romans 3:23 | All of us sin and need God.
- Romans 5:8 | God gave Jesus to pay for our sins.
- Acts 2:38 | Through Jesus we are forgiven and given the Holy Spirit.
- John 5:24 | Believe in Jesus.
- John 14:15 | Submit to Jesus. Do what he says.
- Colossians 2:10 | We are made complete in Jesus.

Dear God, thank you for always being there for me. Help me to know and remember that You are the Only One that can fill the emptiness in my heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
