Jesus paid the ultimate price so that we could live with Him forever in heaven. But why did he have to die? How did Jesus’ death pay for your sins? What do we have to do in order to have eternal life? Join Douglas as he answers these important questions with his very own puppet show!

Sin entered the world when Adam and Eve ate the fruit they were told not to. Everyone sins, and the penalty for sin is death. People used to have to sacrifice animals to atone for their sins, but they would have to make another sacrifice every time they sinned again. Our sin separates us from God; it creates a gap between us and God that we can only cross through Jesus’ sacrifice. Jesus took the penalty for our sin, once and for all, so that if we accept that free gift, we can be with Him forever. We can be in the relationship with God that He wants to be in with us. Jesus died for our sins, but He didn’t stay dead! And that’s a story for another time…

“Jesus’ Sacrifice” Bible Verses:

  • Romans 3:23 | All have sinned.
  • Isaiah 59:2 | Sin separates us from God.
  • Romans 6:23 | Sin brings death but Jesus brings life.
  • John 3:16 | The gift that brings everlasting life.

Jesus’ Sacrifice” Family Time Questions:

  • Is there anyone who has never sinned?
  • What does sin do to us?
  • How can we be saved from our sins?
  • If you believe in Jesus, what do you have?

Prayer:

Dear God, thank you for loving me and for sending your Only Son, Jesus, to die for my sins. Thank you so much for your incredible sacrifice. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
