Some people say that the Bible is like God’s love letter to us. One of the ways that this is true is that we can find many, many examples in the bible of God showing love to His people. But another reason is that the Bible itself is an incredible gift from God that shows how much He knows us and loves us. It’s just what we need! The Bible is absolutely filled with encouragement, instructions, inspiration, and even some pretty hard truths that we need to hear. Just like getting someone the perfect gift can show them how much we love them, God has shown us how much He loves us by giving us the gift of His word. Let’s open God’s love letter to us!

Bible Verses:

  • Psalm 119:105 – A Light in the Darkness
  • Romans 15:4 – Encouragement in Scripture
  • Matthew 4:4 – Lifegiving Word of God
  • 2 Timothy 3:16-17 – All Scripture Is Useful

Family Time Questions:

  • What are some ways that the Bible is like God’s love letter to us?
  • How can the Bible help us?
  • Have you ever received an awesome gift? How did it make you feel?
  • Why is the Bible such a great gift from God?

Prayer:

“Dear God, thank you for your love for us and for giving us the Bible. Help us to not leave the incredible gift you have given us on the shelf, but read it and find what you want to share with us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
