Dads are amazing! On Father’s Day, we celebrate the men in our lives who show us God’s love. Our dads may not be perfect, but the love that they have for us can help us to better understand God’s love for us. The Bible tells us that God is our Heavenly Father. A good father helps us to feel safe, while at the same time helping us grow into the best that we can be. And that’s the same with God!
The truth is, not everyone’s dad is a good father, and even the best earthly father can only give us a small glimpse of our Heavenly Father’s love for us. And for those who don’t have a good earthly father, I hope that you know that you have a Father in Heaven who deeply loves you and wants to show you the love that your earthly father never could. And even if our dads aren’t around, Then godly men that Jesus has put in our lives can also help us to see God’s love for us. Let’s thank the men in our lives who help us to see the love of our Heavenly Father!

“Father’s Day” Bible Verses:

  • 1 John 3:1 | God is our heavenly Father.
  • John 1:12-13 | We are adopted into God’s family.
  • Matthew 6:9 | Jesus even tells us to call God, “Our Father.”
  • Luke 11:11-13 | God gives good things to His children.

“Father’s Day” Family Time Questions:

  • What are some good things that fathers do for their children?
  •  How is God like our father?
  • What are some ways that we can show the godly men in our lives how much we appreciate them?

Prayer:

Dear God, thank you for being my Heavenly Father. Help me to honor my earthly father and the godly men that you have placed in my life to show me your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
