When most people say that someone has “fallen from grace”, they mean that someone who was once well-respected has done something bad and now no one likes them anymore. But that is not how this term is used in Scripture. In God’s eyes, to fall from grace does not mean that you have sinned; It’s almost the opposite. The Bible says that those who would be justified by the Law have fallen away from grace. God’s grace (His love, forgiveness, and salvation) is a gift; it cannot be earned. Jesus died for you, not because you deserve it, but because He loves you. And it is not by our actions, but only through Jesus’ sacrifice that we can be saved.
Bible Verses:
- Galatians 5:4 – Fallen from grace
- Psalm 32:1-2 – Blessed are those whose sins are forgiven
- Philippians 3:8-9 – Righteousness through faith in Christ
- John 5:24 – Believe in Jesus
Family Time Questions:
- What does God’s grace look like?
- Can God’s grace be earned?
- Do we lose God’s grace if we sin?
- What does the Bible say about falling from grace?
Prayer:
“Dear God, thank You for Your grace. Please help us to accept your free gift of salvation and help us to honor you with our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
