There is only one way to heaven, and that is through Christ alone. None of us are “good enough” to get into heaven, it is only by believing in Jesus as our Savior that we can be saved. No other religion or worldview can offer what we truly need. We need Jesus.

There is a popular (but untrue) belief that there are many ways to heaven. Some believe that if you are a “good person” you will go to heaven, some believe that we’ll all go to heaven, some believe that all religions are serving the same god. And though many people believe many different things, that doesn’t mean they’re right. Our God (God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit; Three in One) is the only True God, and the only way to the Father is through the Son. Other religions and worldviews might get many things right, but if you aren’t believing in Jesus Christ to save you from your sins, you will fall short. This Gift is offered freely, and it’s the only way to be saved.

Bible Verses:

  • John 14:6 | We can only go to heaven through Jesus.
  • Romans 6:23 | The penalty of sin is death; eternal separation from God.
  • Romans 3:23 | Everyone has sinned.
  • 1 John 2:2 | Jesus gave His life to pay for the sins of the whole world.
  • Romans 10:9 | If you believe in Jesus, you’ll be saved.
  • Acts 4:12 | There is no other name by which we can be saved.
  • John 6:47 | Whoever believes in Jesus has eternal life.

Family Time Questions:

What sorts of things can other religions and worldviews get right? (or very close to right?)

What do they all get wrong?

• What is the Gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ?

• Should we share the Gospel with non-Christians? if so, how?

Prayer:

Dear God, thank you so much for sending your son Jesus, to die for my sins. Help me to stand on the truth that it is through Christ alone that we can be saved. And please help me to share the Good News with those who need to hear it in the way that will help them the most. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
