The first two sons of Adam and Eve were named Cain and Abel. Cain grew plants, and Abel was a shepherd. One day, Cain and Abel brought offerings to God. Cain brought something from the ground, and Abel brought the firstborn of his flock. God liked Abel’s offering, but not Cain’s. This made Cain furious! But God told him that if he did what was right, he would be accepted. If not, sin is crouching at his door, but he must overcome it. Cain did not learn his lesson and was still so mad that he actually ended up murdering Abel, and Cain was cursed for that terrible sin. We should always give God our best. Our best effort, our best attention, our best gifts, our best everything! And when we see others doing what is right when we are doing what is wrong, we should do what they do instead of hating them for doing the right thing. There is so much that we can learn from the story of Cain and Abel.
