We should want to do what is right so much that it hurts. Matthew 5:6 says, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” Being hungry is pretty unpleasant, and it’s something most of us try to avoid. But Jesus is saying that you should not ignore your hunger for doing what is right. It might be uncomfortable to fail and to miss the mark when it comes to righteousness. But, instead of giving up, we should keep trying, even when it hurts!
