Are you letting anything come between you and God? Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” Sometimes it can feel like God isn’t there, but He is. God is always there for us, but sometimes we can walk away from Him. If you want to be close to God, then stay close to Him!

Bible Verses About Being Pure in Heart:

  • Matthew 5:8 | The pure in heart will see God.
  • Psalm 66:18 | Enjoying sin in our hearts separates us from God.
  • Ephesians 2:8-9 | We can’t earn our way to being saved, it’s a gift.
  • 1 John 1:9 | If we confess our sins to Him, God will cleanse us!

Family Time Questions About Being Pure in Heart:

• Why is it sometimes hard to feel God?

• What sorts of things can come between us and God?

• What sorts of things can bring us closer to God?

Prayer:

Dear God, thank you for always being there for me. Help me to stay close to you and not stray away or fill my life with stuff that comes between us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
