God doesn’t just want you to know ABOUT Him, He wants you to know HIM! He wants you to walk with Him and allow Him to show us what He wants you to learn. It’s not just about memorizing correct answers, it’s about picking up your Bible and seeing what God has to teach you. It’s fine to hear, read, or watch what other people say about God (especially trustworthy sources!), but if you just believe what people tell you to believe, you’re missing out on the relationship that God wants to have with you. Thinking about God and learning about God are great ways that you can love the Lord your God with all your mind.
Bible Verses:
- Mark 12:30 – Loving God with all your mind.
- Romans 12:2 – Transforming by renewing your mind.
- Philippians 4:8 – Think on noble things.
- Psalm 119:15-16 – Meditate on God’s word.
- Acts 17:11 – See for yourself!
Family Time Questions:
- What does it mean to love God with all your mind?
- Why do you think God wants us to think about Him and learn about Him?
- What are some good sources, besides the Bible, to learn about God?
- Why should you still read your Bible instead of just listen to what other people say?
Prayer:
“Dear God, please help us to love You with all our minds. Teach us to think deeply about You and understand Your truth. Fill our minds with Your wisdom and guide us in our thoughts every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
