New Year’s is a fun celebration commemorating the ending of one year and the beginning of another. But there’s really not much difference between December 31st and January 1st. You don’t need a new year to make positive changes in your life, you can do that anytime! And what better time than right now? If you want to see real, positive change in your life, it’s going to take hard work and a reliance on Jesus Christ. Change is always difficult, but it is so worth it! Let’s do our best to always be learning and growing closer and closer to Jesus Christ every day.

Bible Verses:

  • 2 Corinthians 5:17 – New creation
  • Ezekiel 36:26 – A new heart
  • Romans 6:4 – Newness of life
  • Ephesians 4:22-24 – put off your old self

Family Time Questions:

  • Do we need to wait for a new year to make positive changes in our life?
  • When should we stop learning and spiritually growing?
  • Does God want you to stay exactly the same?
  • What are some positive changes you would like to make this year?

Prayer:

“Dear God, thank You for sending us Your Son, Jesus. Please help us to keep learning and growing by trusting and following you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
