You can have your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the Gospel of peace by always being ready to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. If you have faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior, one of the most important things you can do is share that faith with others. But that’s not always easy, and that’s why you need to prepare.
You don’t need to have a plan for every situation that could ever happen (that’s not even possible), but it can really help to have a plan. The Bible says that you should always be ready to give a defense for the hope that is in you. So it’s important to know what you believe and why you believe it. When you have an opportunity to share your faith, that’s not the time to ask yourself “Why should this person believe in Jesus?” Get ready to share your faith RIGHT NOW so that when the opportunity comes, you’ll know what to do.
“Gospel Ready” Bible Verses:
- Ephesians 6:15 | Have your feet fitted with shoes of gospel readiness.
- 2 Timothy 4:2 | Be ready at all times to share your faith.
- Mark 16:15 | Jesus says to share His good news with everyone.
- 1 Peter 3:15 | Be prepared to answer questions about your hope in Jesus.
- Joshua 1:8 | Keep reading God’s Word daily!
“Gospel Ready” Family Time Questions:
• Why is it a good idea to be ready at all times?
• You can’t plan for everything, but what are some things you CAN plan for when sharing your faith?
• What is the Good News of Jesus Christ?
Prayer:
Dear God, thank you for sending Jesus to save me from my sins. Help me to always be ready to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with everyone I meet. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
