The Lord’s Prayer can be a little confusing, especially for kids, so Douglas helps to explain what it means. You probably hear the Lord’s Prayer pretty often in your church, and you may have even memorized it. But do you actually know what it means? Thy, thine, art, hallowed, and trespasses (or debts) are all pretty tricky words that we don’t use every day. Jesus told us how we should pray, so we should definitely know what this amazing prayer means!
The Lord’s Prayer Bible Verse:
- Matthew 6:9-13 – The Lord’s Prayer
Family Time Questions About The Lord’s Prayer:
• What are some things that make this a great prayer?
• Is this the only prayer we should pray?
• Did you learn any new words from this video?
Prayer:
“Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory
forever and ever. Amen”
