I try very hard to be accurate in what I believe (and especially what I teach), but the truth is, sometimes I’m wrong. The truth written in the Bible is perfect, but sometimes we can misinterpret it. It’s important for us to help each other better understand God’s Word so that we can discover our own blind spots. Let’s draw closer to God together!

It’s very easy to think that you’re perspective is correct (don’t we all?), but no one is perfect except for God. We can all misunderstand and make mistakes. Just because you are sure that you are right and have a very good argument for why you believe what you believe, that doesn’t always mean that you are right. You might be missing something. That’s why it’s so important for us to help one another and share our unique perspectives. The videos I make are not perfect, even if I try to make sure that they are based on the perfect source, which is God’s Word. The fact that none of us is God means that no one of us can have all of the answers. I need you, you need me, we all need each other as we learn and grow and seek to better understand God’s will as found in the Bible.

Bible Verses:

  • 1 Thessalonians 5:11 | We need each other.
  • James 3:2 | We all make mistakes.
  • Proverbs 30:5 | God is the source of all truth.
  • John 17:17 | The Bible is true.
  • 2 Timothy 2:15 | We must handle the Bible rightly.
  • Psalm 119:160 | All God’s words are true.

Family Time Questions:

  • Is everyone’s perspective correct?
  • Who is the Only One who’s always right?
  • Why is your perspective important?
  • Why is it so important to read your Bible?

Prayer:

Dear God, thank you for giving us the Bible. Help me to read it and learn it and to find other Christians who can teach me and learn with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
