Many Christians spend a lot of time talking about the bad behavior of unbelievers. But why would we expect the world to act like Christians if they don’t know Christ? Without Jesus, we are lost, and so are they. Sin is wrong; it is never OK to sin, but it is only through Christ that we can have victory over sin. As Christians, we should know better. We have the Spirit, unbelievers do not. So, instead of judging the world for not acting like Christians, let’s do our best to make sure that we ourselves are obeying the commands God gave us, and let’s share the good news of Jesus Christ with those who need His help (which is everyone!).
Bible Verses:
- 1 Corinthians 2:12-14 – Can’t fully understand without God
- Jonah 4:11 – Don’t know their right from their left
- Romans 10:14 – How will they know?
- Luke 12 – Much is required of those given much
Family Time Questions:
- Why does the world behave badly?
- Should we be surprised by this?
- Why do we have no excuse for bad behavior?
- What is the good news of Jesus Christ?
Prayer:
“Dear God, thank You for Your compassion for us. Please help us to be patient and merciful towards unbelievers, knowing that it’s only through Your Son that any of us can have victory over sin. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
