Following God is not easy, but it is SO worth it. So many of us are chasing comfort, but the life that God has called us to is not always going to be comfortable. Why not just give up and do things our own way? Why not take the easy road? Well, the truth is, no matter what you do, if you are on earth, you will face hardship and pain in one form or another. God doesn’t promise that things will never be hard; He promises that he can make all things work together for the good of those who love Him. Living for God will always be worth it, both in this life and in the life to come.
Bible Verses:
- 1 Timothy 4:8 – Promise for this life and the next
- Galatians 6:9 – Don’t grow weary in doing good
- James 1:2-4 – Consider it pure joy
- Romans 8:18 – Beyond compare
- Romans 8:28 – All things for your good
Family Time Questions:
- Is it easy to follow Jesus?
- How is following God worth it in this life?
- How will following God be worth it in the next life?
- Why not just do things our own way?
Prayer:
“Dear God, thank You for Your goodness to us. Help us to live for You, knowing that it will always be worth it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
