Good Friday is the day when we celebrate Jesus dying for our sins. It was arguably one of the worst days in all of human history, but it was also the best day. On Good Friday, Jesus showed us what perfect love looks like by giving His life for ours.
Our sin separates us from God, and we have all sinned. The penalty for sin is an eternity apart from God. Jesus never did anything wrong in His whole life, but He chose to take the penalty for our sin upon Himself on Good Friday so many years ago. Jesus suffered and died a terrible death so that, if we believe in Him, we can have eternal life. Let’s never forget what Jesus had to go through to make that possible, and let’s never forget that Jesus conquered death and our Savior is alive!
Good Friday Bible Verses:

- Philippians 2:5-8 | Jesus set aside His glory to save us.
- 1 Peter 2:24 | Jesus took ALL the penalty that WE deserve.
- John 3:16 | If we believe in Him, we can have eternal life.
