The Bible says that God is love. This is an incredibly important truth for us to understand. If you get this wrong, you will totally misunderstand who God is and what He is like. Some people think that God doesn’t love them. They think that God hates them because of their sin. But Jesus died for us while we were His enemies. He died for you because He loves you, in spite of your sin. Some Christians think that it’s ok to hate people, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. God has called us to love, and the Bible says that if you do not love, then you do not know God. If we want to know what real love is, we need to learn who God is. God is Love.
