We can show people that they are special by how we treat them. Douglas is learning to be gentle. His cousin just had a baby and she is so tiny and precious. They taught Douglas and his brother how to hold her to keep her from getting hurt. When we’re gentle, we’re showing that we care about someone or something. If we are gentle with how we talk to people, we’re telling them that we care about their feelings. If you are gentle with someone else’s property, you’re saying that you care about them. God loves everyone, and he wants us to treat people with gentleness.
