Easter lilies are white flowers that we often see around Easter time. There’s nothing in the Bible about them; they’re just called Easter lilies because they usually bloom around Easter, but they can help us remember what’s most important about Easter. Easter lilies look a little like a trumpet, which can help us to remember Jesus’ victory over sin and death. They grow from a bulb that lies dormant underground until it’s time to grow and bloom, which can remind us of how Jesus died for us and rose again from the dead. And they are white, which can remind us of Jesus’ purity and how His sacrifice can cleanse us from our sins. Let’s celebrate our Risen Savior!

Bible Verses:

  • Mark 16:1-6 – He is risen!
  • Romans 6:8-11 – Jesus conquered death
  • 1 John 1:7 – Made pure through Jesus
  • 1 Peter 1:3 – Hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ

Family Time Questions:

  • How can Easter lilies remind us of Jesus’ death and resurrection?
  • Why did Jesus choose to die?
  • What did Jesus prove by rising from the dead?

Prayer:

“Dear God, thank You for dying for our sins and rising again. Please help us to remember what’s most important this Easter. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
