When we read our Bible, but then forget to do what it says, it’s like we’re a man who looks in the mirror and immediately forgets what he looks like! If a clown were to get all dressed up, look in the mirror, say, “Yep! I sure look like a clown!” and then not do anything that a clown does, that’s not a very entertaining clown. It doesn’t do us any good if we know all the answers in Sunday School if we don’t actually do what God says. God wants us to be “doers” of the Word, and not hearers only. Don’t just listen, do!
