Have you ever wondered why people decorate with wreaths during Christmas? Wreaths are a symbol of some really important things to remember this Christmas season!

Wreaths can help to remind us of God’s never-ending love. For one thing, wreaths are made from evergreen branches, which means it comes from a plant (like a tree or a bush) that stays green all year round, even during the cold and dark of winter. And, just like an evergreen tree doesn’t quit when times are tough, God’s love for you never takes a break. And the shape of a wreath also reminds us of this. A circle has no beginning and no end, and neither does God. He has always been and will always be. God and His love and His promises to us are eternal. And the Bible says that if you believe in Jesus Christ, you will have eternal life! So next time you see a Christmas wreath, I hope it will remind you of God and his eternal love for you!

“Christmas Wreaths” Bible Verses:

  • Luke 2:10 | The angels told the shepherds the Messiah had been born.
  • Luke 2:12 | They said the shepherds would find Jesus in a manger.
  • Luke 2:17-18 | The shepherds did tell everyone the good news!
  • John 3:16-17 | God sent Jesus to save people from their sin!!
  • Mark 16:15 | God wants us to share this good news of Jesus too.

“Christmas Wreaths” Family Time Questions:

Why can it be hard to share the Gospel sometimes?

Do you think the shepherds were worried about sharing the good news?

What can we tell people about Jesus this Christmas season?

Prayer:

Dear God, thank you for sending us your Son, Jesus. Thank you that Jesus is for everyone! Help me to share the Good news of Jesus Christ this Christmas season. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
