It feels like courage was once a well-respected virtue. But these days it seems like many people will try to keep you from doing something scary or difficult simply because it’s scary or difficult. There are some things that are intimidating because they are foolish. We should not do those things. God doesn’t want us to be foolish, but He does want us to be strong and courageous! The life that God has called us to is not easy, and it can be scary at times. But if we choose to be weak and afraid, we will miss out on what God has planned for us. Be strong and courageous.

Bible Verses:

  • Joshua 1:9 –  Be strong and courageous
  • 1 Corinthians 16:13 – Stand firm in faith.
  • Psalm 27:1 – Whom shall we fear?
  • Ephesians 6:10 – Draw strength from God.

Family Time Questions:

  • Why does God want us to be strong and courageous?
  • Should we do everything we are scared of doing?
  • How does knowing God is with us change how we face challenges?
  • How can we tell the difference between courage and foolishness?

Prayer:

“Dear God, help us to be strong and courageous in all we do. Remind us that You are always with us, so we don’t need to be afraid. Give us the wisdom to know the difference between courage and foolishness, and the strength to follow Your path bravely. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
