2 Peter 1:3-11 says that we must add godliness to our faith. “Godliness“ here can mean “reverence” or “piety.” This means that if we want to add godliness to our faith, we need to remember who God is and show Him the respect that He deserves. When we are in the presence of God, we need to act accordingly. And there is nowhere we can go where God is not near to us. If you believe in Jesus Christ, you are God’s temple. If you wouldn’t do something in church because it’s “God’s house”, you probably shouldn’t be doing that thing at all. Add godliness to your faith.
